Our Faculty and School organise activities for high school students.
We offer an Outreach program tailored towards high school students, allowing them to experience University life and learn about new technology and advances in the information technology area. At the cutting edge of Computer Science and Software Engineering, our researchers and postgraduate students will be able to introduce the myriad of applications and industries our area of expertise is relevant to.
Programs are varied and allow for campus visits and hands on activities, such as our Awesome Animations and Animatronics Program. Presentations can be tailored to suit your needs, and we can accommodate groups of up to 40 students for either one-hour or two-hour visits.
Or, if you can not come to us, we can come to you on one of our school visits.
The Women in Science and Engineering project aims to promote and increase female participation in these areas through awareness, information and support. Our WISE Days give female secondary students the opportunity to spend a day at the UWA campus and participate in a range of fun and educational hands-on activities.
2009 WISE days were held during the first week of the April school holidays. An information pack with details on how to apply for the 2010 event will be sent to schools in March 2010.
Please email Kate Brandis or telephone (+61 8) 6488 3229 regarding bookings or if you would like a copy of our current Engineering, Computing and Mathematics in 2010 brochure.
The Virtual Universe Project is focused on mapping the campus into a virtual environment, allowing it to be experienced from anywhere by anybody within any medium. The project so far has been working in the mediums of Google Earth, VRML and Second Life.
