Laboratories

The purpose of the laboratory sessions is  to provide students the opportunity to put into practice the theory covered by the lectures and the tutorials.

Attendance at the specific lab times is not compulsory - the official lab times simply provide a guaranteed time where you can access the required software and, if needed, the help of a lab demonstrator.

However, it is critically important that you actually do the lab work, and normally you should expect to spend more time on lab work than just the time allocated for the lab.
