UWA Research Development: helping researchers to secure funding

Abstract

Ever thrown up your hands in exasperation whilst attempting to fill in a funding application form; suspected there are funding opportunities out there beyond ARC; wondered what happens if you do meet the UWA internal deadline; or wanted help with finding an industry partner, a collaborator, or just looking outside the box for a different approach? The UWA Research Development Office is a proactive unit in Research Services aimed at diversifying and increasing UWA's external research funding. Research Development Officers (RDOs), provide strategic advice and assistance on research funding opportunities; establishing research collaborations; facilitating cross-disciplinary communication;and developing industry links. Come along and find out what this actually means and what sort of help you can get.
