Title: Beowulf Clusters for Scientific Computing

Abstract:

This informal talk describes the history of cluster computing in the CFD Lab at the University of Texas and our approach to good cluster building. I will describe design, construction, and maintenance of clusters as well as application and scaling studies run on the cluster. Results of scaled speed-up and application benchmarks will be presented.
