Title: Dinosaurs, Didgeridoos and Coffee Cups: Lessons for designers of educational software

Abstract

Roger Dickinson, Director of UWA's Centre for Learning Technology, which incorporates DUIT Multimedia, will discuss the instructional design philosophies that underpin the software development undertaken by the group, and impart some cautionary tales gathered over the past ten years. The talk will be illustrated with examples of some recent award-winning programs.
