Title: Reconfigurable Architectures and Their Support Systems

Abstract

A hybrid computer system combines programmable hardware with programmable processors in an attempt to capitalise on the advantages of both technologies. In this talk I shall focus on the reconfigurable (programmable hardware) component of such systems and the tools necessary for their efficient utilisation. The talk includes a survey of the main trends in reconfigurable systems organisation, management issues and approaches, and applications development.
