Printing
Print quota
What is my print quota?
Due to abuses of the CSSE print system, it has been significantly tightened. The
general rule now is 5 pages per unit per week. This change was made because students
were consistantly printing out non-CSSE related material.
How can I check my print quota?
Use the web page at
https://secure.csse.uwa.edu.au/printing/.
When is my print quota reset?
Your print quota is reset on the first of the month, but the change may not show up
until you try to print something that month. ie) If you look at your print quota on
the 4th of a new month and haven't printed anything that month, you will still see
the quota from last month.
I haven't printed anything for three months, but I only have n pages?
Correct. The quota is non cumulative. Any unused quota is lost and is not rolled over
to the following period.
I have run out of quota and need to print something urgently
Sorry, there is usually nothing we can do about it. If you urgently need to
print something, then we suggest talking to the unit coordinator or the unit
tutor.
I want to add pages to my quota. How do I do that?
Sorry, you are not generally able to do this. The school is not in a position
to modify quotas on a per student basis.
In exceptional circumstances it may be possible to increase quotas depending
on the requirements of units and or projects. If you have special printing
needs for your course and project work you will need to discuss this with
the unit coordinator, or perhaps with the unit tutor.
