The Awesome Animations & Animatronics Outreach Program - Information for Teachers

Dear Teachers, Career Coordinators & Science Coordinators

We would like to let you know about our Awesome Animations & Animatronics Program for your students to experience University life and learn about new technology and advances in the information technology area. At the cutting edge of Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE), our researchers and postgraduate students will be able to introduce the myriad of applications and industries CSSE is relevant to, including robotics, avian-flu and bushfire spread, 3-D modelling, etc.

A glimpse of some of the exciting research going on in CSSE can be seen on our Awesome Animations website (http://www.csse.uwa.edu.au/files/)

Presentations can be tailored to suit your needs and we are able to accommodate groups of up to 40 students for 1 hour or 2 hour visits (the 2 hour visits include a UWA tour). We will be available at almost any time suitable to you, though our preferred time would be on any Friday afternoon.

Visiting the School of Computer Science & Software Engineering at UWA can be a great benefit to students who are considering university study and the interaction with our staff and students can often be a motivator for students from Years 9 through 12.
